If you don’t mind picking up and running with someone else’s project about halfway through, we’ve got something for you: a 1991 Ford Bronco “Centurion” SUV for sale on Craigslist in Aurora, Illinois, right near Chicago.
The 1991 model year was the last for the fourth-generation Ford Bronco SUV, and according to the seller, this example is powered by diesel. “They only made 156 of these in diesel,” says the listing, although we can’t corroborate that. In fact, we can’t find any information regarding a factory diesel option for the Ford Bronco, leading us to believe that either the engine was swapped at some point, or the owner has been fuelling it completely wrong for some time now.
(The latter scenario was a joke. -Ed.)
This 1991 Ford Bronco runs and drives, and for $2,500, that’s about all one can hope for. Sadly, though, the floor is rusted through and needs patching or replacement.
Still, it seems like a fun project; paint it to suit your taste, or leave it as-is in its current rough, militant, matte green finish and use it to haul your homeboys to the paintballin’ place.
