It’s hard to imagine ever requiring more performance than can be delivered by Ford’s factory-stock F-150 Raptor, but if its 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque just aren’t going to cut it, GeigerCars has a solution that might fit the bill.
It’s called the “HP520”, and as the name suggests, it packs a 520-horsepower wallop, courtesy of the familiar 3.5L EcoBoost V6 installed from the factory. In this application, an upgraded intercooler, cold-air intake, and ECU tune elevate its peak output. Additional performance-minded modifications include a four-inch lift kit and 22-inch bead-lock-capable alloy wheels with 37-inch-diameter M/T tires.
You also get a custom graphics package and a sport bar with a folding LED light array, which is neat.
All that sounds well and good, but the price tag is a bit less-than-savory; according to Motor1, the GeigerCars HP520 F-150 Raptor will set you back €124,600 (about $148k US) if you lump in the cost of the donor truck. That’s quite a bit more than Hennessey charges for the VelociRaptor 600, which features a 3-inch lift, 20-inch wheels, LEDs, a sport bar, and an extra 80 horsepower.
We guess we should just thank our lucky stars that we live in the states, where upfitting a truck for hardcore desert-racing duty with grade-A components and professional installation is astonishingly affordable.
