Ford Europe is injecting some new spice and variety into its selection of small economy cars by offering up a slew of new “color edition” models for next year. One of these is the new 2016 Ford B-MAX Zetec Color Edition.
Shown above in its Red Edition vesture, the new B-MAX Zetec edition offers a black contrast roof and door mirrors, and a handful of other “sporty styling details” which include a black grille, body-color spoiler, unique 16-inch black alloys, and more. Note that “Zetec” in this case refers to a trim level, not to Ford’s eponymous family of four-cylinder engines.
Instead, the Ford B-MAX Zetec Color Edition will be the first model outside of the Fiesta Zetec S to offer a 140 horsepower version of the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. Alongside that powerplant, which can deliver a 10.4-second 0-100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) sprint, a 90 horsepower 1.4-liter and a 105 horsepower 1.6-liter will also be offered. Other Ford B-MAX Zetec Color Edition models will comprise a White Edition (painted “Winter White” and a Silver Edition (painted “Moondust Silver”).
The 2016 Ford B-MAX Zetec Color Edition will be available for purchase through Ford Europe starting in January, with deliveries to commence in the spring.
