In this single-take video from The Smoking Tire, Matt Farah drives a 2014 Ford Focus ST belonging to Hooniverse’s Jason Connor.
As we’re sure you can imagine, this Ford Focus ST is anything but stock.
When Connor first got the Focus, it had Mountune’s MP275 package installed, which consists of an aftermarket intake and intercooler, along with revised engine mapping. Now, the Ford Focus ST is sporting a turbo-back exhaust kit, a shifter plate with firmer bushings at the plate and linkage, and Mountune’s Clubsport suspension, encompassing Bilstein B8 Sport dampers and Eibach springs.
Additionally, Connor states that his 2014 Ford Focus ST has a Stage 3 tune ca 91 octane, but for this video, the car was fueled up with a 40 percent ethanol blend instead.
It’s anyone’s guess how much more power Connor’s Ford Focus ST might be making than stock, and the sound hasn’t changed much. That’s just as well; the car serves as Jason Connor’s daily driver, and Farah remarks at one point that the end sum of all the modifications is a car that isn’t “overly tuner-y.”
