2015 Ford Mustang GT Roush Stage 3 Recalled Over Braking Issue

Roush, officially known as Roush Performance Products, is recalling the 2015 Ford Mustang GT equipped with its Roush Stage 3 package for an issue that might reduce the vehicle’s rear braking ability.

The problem: affected vehicles have a brake caliper guide pin that may not have been sufficiently tightened during installation of the half shafts. As a result, the caliper guide pin may loosen while driving, reducing the vehicle’s rear braking ability.

The hazard: a partial loss of the rear braking system can increase the risk of a crash.

Affected vehicles: 2015 Ford Mustang GT Roush Stage 3 vehicles manufactured April 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015 and equipped with Roush Extreme Duty Half Shafts.

Number of vehicles affected: 461 (United States figure).

The fix: Roush will notify owners, and Roush-authorized Ford dealers will tighten the caliper guide pin to the proper specification. The repair will be performed free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 11th, 2016.

Owners should: take their vehicle to their Roush-authorized Ford dealer or contact Roush customer service with questions by using the following information.
