2017 Lincoln Continental Wins Detroit News’ ‘Best Of Show’: NAIAS 2016

Every year, The Detroit News doles out Readers’ Choice Awards for the most exciting, most promising, and most fiscally sound cars to appear at the annual Detroit North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). This year, Ford Motor Company can take great pride, having earned itself three distinct awards from Detroit News readers.

Most notably, the new 2017 Lincoln Continental won “Best of Show,” garnering the votes of roughly 100 everyday judges. The Lincoln Continental was first unveiled in concept form at the 2015 New York Auto Show, but Detroit’s NAIAS marked the production version’s global debut. With available 30-way adjustable seats, a design emphasis on keeping cabin noise levels low, and a choice of three engines – a 3.7-liter V6, twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6, or twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 – the 2017 Lincoln Continental promises to live up to the car’s rich, illustrious lineage.

Beside the new Lincoln Continental, other Ford Motor Company award winners were the refreshed 2017 Ford Fusion sedan, earning the “Next Up In My Garage” award, and the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, taking home “Baddest Off-Road Vehicle” honors.
