Ahead of its anticipated debut at the 2016 Detroit North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), a facelifted 2017 Ford Fusion sedan has been captured on camera by spy photographers around the automaker’s Dearborn, Michigan headquarters. You can check out the gallery of spy shots at the Automotive News website.
Only the front fascia is shown, but from the looks of it, that’s the area of interest. The 2017 Ford Fusion boasts a striking new face, featuring a more ovaloid grille shape with decidedly less “Aston Martin” character than the current one. The headlamps have been sharpened to a finer point, as well, and a new lower grille and side inlets give the revamped Ford Fusion a more sporting appearance.
Overall, we’d call this a refresh well done.
More photos of the new 2017 Ford Fusion sedan ought to become available as soon as next week, when Ford Motor Company is expected to roll the mid-generation refresh out for NAIAS. Stay tuned.
