Lincoln Motor Company To Start Giving Credit For Undriven Lease Miles: Video

Lincoln Motor Company is launching a bold new pilot program by the end of the month, inviting a number of customers with existing Lincoln Motor leases to use mobile and internet updates to track their used mileage against the total miles of their lease agreement.

At the end, pilot customers will receive anywhere from $100 to $1,000 in credit toward their next Lincoln Motor Company lease or purchase.

For now, only those leasing a Lincoln MKC or MKX crossover, or an MKZ sedan, with an embedded modem are invited to participate, and then, only if they have from 10 to 25 months remaining on their current lease agreement. Lincoln Motor Company says that the pilot program is meant to help the brand better understand customers’ mileage requirements, and how to aid consumers in protecting against unforeseen lifestyle changes like changing jobs or houses.

If the pilot program is successful, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it made widely available to Lincoln Motor Company lessees everywhere – and quite possibly customers of Ford, as well.
