Along with a fresh facelift and a handful of extra creature features, the 2017 Ford Escape will launch a new “Sport Appearance Package,” available for both the SE and Titanium trim levels.
Shown above and in the gallery below, the 2017 Ford Escape Sport Appearance Package conjures a high-gloss, Ebony Black finish on the crossover’s 19-inch wheel set and upper grille, the latter also featuring contrasting splashes of chrome. Black can also be found around the fender and window trim pieces, side mirror caps, taillights, and both front and rear fascias.
Inside the 2017 Ford Escape Sport, the Ebony Black-ness continues; Ford took the liberty of installing black sport bucket seats with leather inserts, and a black leather-wrapped gear-selector and steering wheel. And then, just to be cute and spontaneous, the automaker stitched everything together with contrasting white thread.
The Ford Escape’s new Sport Appearance Package is truly just an appearance package, with no additional engine, transmission, or chassis options beyond those on the existing SE and Titanium compact crossover models. The refreshed 2017 Ford Escape and its new Sport Appearance Pack ought to hit dealerships around late spring.
