Ford Transit Connect Gets A Snazzy Facelift Courtesy Of Carlex Design

In the right hands, even the boxy, pedestrian-looking Ford Transit Connect can be made into a well-dressed show-stopper.

That’s what Polish company Carlex Design has just demonstrated, fitting the utilitarian Ford Transit Connect with enough exterior modifications to turn it into a rather sharp-looking machine. The project is somewhat different from most taken on by Poland’s Carlex Design as the firm specializes in – and typically sticks to – re-trimming vehicle interiors.

The Carlex Ford Transit Connect features an amped-up road presence, thanks to a front splitter, side skirts, and a rear diffuser. The new front fascia incorporates reshaped air inlets and horizontal LED light bars, while each of the fender flares now bears an intriguing, almost spoked impression. A set of sporty-looking 15-spoke wheels rounds out the changes.

According to CarScoops, Carlex Design has yet to release any images of this Ford Transit Connect’s interior, but the company says it includes new leather upholstery and a customized steering wheel. Carlex does intend to bring this custom body kit to market, although initially only for the UK market.
