Good news, fans of high-performance half-ton pickups! The 600 horsepower 2016 Roush F-150 SC is now available to order in any region of the US not subjected to CARB emissions standards.
Based on the 5.0-liter V8-powered Ford F-150, the new Roush F-150 SC features a Roush TVS 2300 (2.3-liter) supercharger, boasting Eaton’s latest Twin Vortices Series tech. This roots-type supercharger incorporates twin four-lobe rotors with 60 degrees of twist, which promises increased efficiency over older designs. As a result, power and torque are increased by 56 percent and 44 percent, respectively, to 600 horsepower and 557 lb-ft.
Of course, power is meaningless if it can’t be contained. To that end, the new Roush F-150 SC rides on 20-inch wheels with Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 tires to help apply all that twist to the trail. A Fox 2.0 Performance Series suspension kit further boosts offroad capability.
Roush Performance Director of Vehicle Operations Justin Schroeder said of the truck: “The people behind Roush Performance are as passionate about creating the high-performance lifestyle as our customers are about living it. The 2016 Roush F-150 SC is about high performance – whether it’s on the road, the track, or off the beaten path.”
