Finding good, rugged places to go off-roading is likely quite the challenge in the UK, but Car Throttle did their best to find suitable trails in order to test the Ford Ranger Wildtrak.
Here in the US, we find ourselves in the exact opposite predicament: plenty of trails, but no Ford Ranger Wildtrak to test on them.
Such is life. In this video review, Alex from Car Throttle takes a Pride Orange Ford Ranger T6 Wildtrak off the pavement and onto dirt, gravel, and snow to see what it’s capable of. The Wildtrak is powered by the same 3.2-liter Duratorq diesel found under the bonnets of many a non-Wildtrak Ranger example. It’s differentiated from the standard Ford Ranger not so much through equipment, but rather through exclusive exterior styling features, unique wheels, and creature comforts such as an 8-inch touchscreen LCD and Wildtrak seats with built-in warmers.
To see how Alex from Car Throttle got on in the Ford Ranger Wildtrak, be sure to watch the full video above. (Bonus: at about the 5:15 mark, our host hops into Ford’s “Drugged Driving Suit” and has a go at driving the truck virtually inhibited.)
