2017 Chinese-Market Lincoln Continental Spotted Ahead Of Beijing

The Beijing Motor Show opens later this month on the 25th, and it will include the debut of the all-new Chinese-market 2017 Lincoln Continental.

Ahead of the big event, Chinese outlet Autohome managed to secure a few photographs of the forthcoming luxury sedan. You can find those over at the Carscoops website.

The Chinese-market Lincoln Continental boasts minimal changes from that bound for the North American market. A pair of transparent turn indicator lenses sits up front, in place of the amber-tinted units on the American version of the car, and perched on the rear deck lid is a new badge which reads “Presidential.” It’s uncertain, but Carscoops speculates that the new badge likely signifies this Lincoln Continental’s trim level or powertrain choice – in this case, the new 400HP, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with all-wheel drive.

The Chinese market has been a promising one for American automakers in recent years, and especially for luxury makes. The 2017 Lincoln Continental was designed from the bottom up with this market in mind, although Lincoln is taking extra steps to ensure that the new sedan is well-received there.
