Ford is trying to help answer Americans’ most common credit questions by producing a video series packed with simple, useful information. The first of the three credit videos produced by Ford so far can be seen above.
Ford says that, according to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), just 24 percent of American millennials can correctly answer four or five fairly basic questions about finances. The share of Americans of all age groups who can answer these questions is little better, at around 40 percent. Ford’s video series helps to combat this by providing quick crash courses on the topics of credit, vehicle leasing, and vehicle purchasing, with more topics on the way.
“We’re making it easy for people to understand automotive financing by providing the straightforward information they need to make good decisions about one of their biggest purchases – a vehicle,” says Ford Credit Marketing Director Krista Conyers. The videos are made especially to appeal to a younger crowd. “Millennials want information delivered in quick bursts, so each video is about three minutes. There is even more information for viewers – or anyone – at fordcredit.com.”
Ford’s first three credit videos are available on YouTube in both English, and Spanish.
