The Hoonigan Racing Division just gave us a first look at the vivid, colorful liveries that we can look forward to seeing on the team’s duo of Ford Focus RS RX rallycross cars throughout the 2016 World Rallycross season. The Focus RS RX makes its competition debut this weekend in Portugal, with Ken Block and Andreas Bakkerud at the helms.
The liveries are the work of Spanish-Argentinian graffiti/kinetic artist Felipe Pantone, and the wrap on Ken Block’s No. 43 Ford Focus RS RX is every bit as loud and wild as we’ve come to expect from the driver’s zany taste. By contrast, the pattern worn by Bakkerud’s car is a tad more subdued, albeit nearly as intricate.
“Hoonigan by Felipe Pantone” apparel, showcasing some of the street artist’s exciting Focus RS RX-themed work, will be available for purchase at Zumiez, Tilly, Lids, and a few other retailers. “It was really exciting to work on this project,” said Pantone in a release. “My work talks about speed, technology, and the times we are living in, all of which are embodied by the Hoonigan team.”
Check out the Hoonigan website for more still images of these freshly-liveried rallycross cars.
