The 2016 Team Shelby East Coast Grand Nationals event is approaching fast, with the multi-day gathering scheduled to kick-off on June 2nd with a full day of on-track fun at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia. A banquet that night will feature Ford historian John Clor as the keynote speaker.
Then, from June 3rd through the 5th, still more exclusive activities for diehard Shelby American fans will take place, starting with a scenic Poker Run to the fairgrounds at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in Pennsylvania. That night, Team Shelby will host a “Texas-style” barbecue banquet at the Ford Expo Center, featuring executives from Ford Motor Company and Shelby American.
The next day (Saturday, the 4th) will be the busiest day of the Carlisle Ford Nationals. There, Team Shelby members can participate in a burnout competition, test-drive Ford Motor Company vehicles, and visit tents hosted by hundreds of vendors.
“Team Shelby celebrates Shelby vehicles of every era, from the Cobras that won world championships in the 1960s to the latest cars to wear the GT350 and GT-H badges,” said Smith. “Filled with fun and friends, the Team Shelby East Coast Nationals will be a terrific weekend that people will remember forever.”
