Ford is commemorating its historic win at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans by offering a collection of four special-edition, 50th anniversary “Le Mans” models in France.
These 50th anniversary Le Mans models are each be limited to a production run of just 50 examples, and are based on the Ford Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, and Mustang GT. Website Carscoops reports that each special-edition go-fast Ford wears Black Mica paint with silver racing stripes, just like the Le Mans-winning No. 2 Ford GT40 Mk II driven to victory in 1966 by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon.
Additionally, each Le Mans-edition Ford gets a numbered plaque and extra standard equipment. The 50th anniversary Fiesta ST Le Mans comes with the Performance and Parking packs as standard, along with 17-inch rims; the Focus ST ships with the Styling Pack and 18-inch rims; the Focus RS gets the City and Premium packs; and the Mustang GT benefits from the Premium pack, with leather seats, 19-inch wheels, and more. According to Carscoops, prices range from €27,200 (approx. $30,280 US) for the special-edition Fiesta ST, to €47,100 ($52,430 US) for the Mustang GT.
The 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place from the 18th to the 19th of June. One Le Mans-edition Ford buyer will even win a trip to the event in a drawing.
