While delivery of the all-new, 2016 Ford Focus RS has been quietly pushed back to June in the United States, British tuning firm Mountune Performance has hit the ground running with a collection of “Phase 1” upgrade parts which are already available for purchase.
Some of those Focus RS performance parts – including a Quaife helical limited-slip diff, upgraded boost and intake hoses, and a billet short-shifter arm – are showcased in the new video above. A full upgrade kit for the new, AWD Focus RS is pending validation, but such kits for the Ford Fiesta ST and Focus ST manage to boost engine output by about 20 to 30 horsepower. We’d expect the 2016 Ford Focus RS and its 2.3-liter EcoBoost I4 to benefit by about the same factor.
Mountune Performance is a venerated force within the automotive tuning industry, offering plenty of Ford-warrantied products for several of the automaker’s performance models. Less than three years ago, the firm announced its expansion into the US, launching a new division headquartered in Southern California to offer distribution and other services to American clients.
