The Ford Fiesta subcompact is one of the ten coolest cars on the road… out of those with a starting price below $18k, that is.
That’s according to Kelly Blue Book, which named the Ford Fiesta to its list of the “10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000” for the sixth time this year. KBB doesn’t specify whether the hatchback-style car or the Asia-and-North-America-only sedan earns more cool-points, but we all know the hatch is where it’s at.
To qualify for KBB‘s 10 Coolest list, cars had to be available for purchase at $18k or less according to the research company’s Fair Market Range metric. They also had to be uncommonly fun (and cool) to drive and own.
“Cool sure has come a long way,” says KBB Executive Editorial Director Jack Nerad. “Our annual Coolest New Cars Under $18,000 is one of Kelley Blue Book’s longest-running lists, and it’s incredible to see all of the amazing tech features and amenities you can get on an affordable car these days compared to a decade ago.”
The Ford Fiesta celebrates its 40th birthday in Europe this year, although it only entered the US market in 2010. In that time, its been named to Kelley Blue Book‘s 10 Coolest List every year except for 2013.
