Performance-engineering firm Roush Performance has released a new line of “Power Packs” for the Ford Mustang pony car and F-150 full-size pickup, featuring simple, bolt-on modifications that can boost output by anywhere from 12 to 68 horsepower.

Roush Performance Power Packs are now available for the 2015-’16 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, V6, and V8-powered GT, with a Level 1 and a Level 2 option. Level 1 includes a durable, CAD-developed cold-air intake with improved airflow and a smaller footprint than the large, factory air filter box. It also includes a Roush Performance Power Pack software upgrade, which re-calibrates fueling and ignition to take full advantage of the engine’s improved induction.

The Level 2 Power Pack includes both the cold-air intake and the software re-flash, while including a high-flow, 2.5-inch axle-back exhaust kit made of stainless steel.

Roush Performance offers similar Level 1 and Level 2 Power Packs for the Ford F-150, whether equipped with Ford’s normally-aspirated 3.5-liter V6, 5.0-liter V8, or twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine. The exhaust kit included with the F-150’s Level 2 Power Pack is a 3-inch, stainless cat-back system.

Altogether, Roush Performance is promising more horsepower and torque, improved drivability, and when the Level 2 exhaust kit is selected, a more intense exhaust note. The company offers an optional, 3-year/36,000-mile warranty on each of these kits.

“Our new Level 1 and Level 2 Power Packs are vigorously designed, engineered, manufactured, and tested for high-performance reliability,” says Roush Performance VP of Products and Strategy Justin Schroeder. “Our engineers have extensive calibration experience and sweat the details so Mustang owners can get strong performance without sacrificing drivability.”
