Ford U.S. Sales Up 4.3 Percent To 1.29 Million Vehicles In The First Half Of 2016

Sales of Ford Motor Company’s Ford brand totaled 1,299,751 new vehicles in the first six months of 2016. The results represent an increase of 4.3 percent compared to the 1,246,509 vehicles delivered in the first half of 2015.

Ford Trucks

Ford Truck sales continue continued to impress in the first half of the year, accounting for 531,500 pickups and vans sold — a 13 percent gain compared to a year ago.

Ford SUVs

Ford brand SUVs saw deliveries climb 9 percent to 395,116 units, representing their best first half ever.

Ford Vans

Ford commercial vans accounted for 128,378 deliveries, an increase of 17 percent. The growth was largely driven by the 78,480 deliveries of the Transit family, up 36 percent over the first six months of 2015.
