Ford F-Series Is Now The Official Truck Of The NFL

Ford Motor Company, which recently unveiled a new “Dallas Cowboys Edition” Ford F-150 pickup, is adding on to its existing sponsorship deals with big-league American football by making the Ford F-Series the “Official Truck of the NFL.” The new partnership has been green-lighted for three years, and will put the Ford F-Series front-and-center for NFL fans.

“America’s truck leader is teaming up with organizers of the nation’s favorite sport to put the spotlight on fans and players who show toughness, smarts and determination on and off the field,” says Ford VP of US Marketing, Sales and Service Mark LaNeve. “Both brands – each a leader in its category and known for toughness, capability, excellence and innovation – are coming together to give fans exclusive access to events and games, and to highlight players in a new way.”

As part of the deal, Ford is kicking off a new fan experience in New York today where the automaker will offer “Built Ford Tough Tailgate Trucks On Demand” through Uber. Essentially, fans can use the Uber app to call upon a decked-out Ford F-Series Super Duty to deliver tailgate food, game tickets, and merchandise on game day. A “Built Ford Tough Tailgate Tour” will have these Ford F-Series tailgate trucks moving around the country, giving fans in other cities the opportunity to have the same experience.
