Leading up to the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas this November, we’ll be taking a look at some of the imaginative new Ford builds being put together for display. Now, it’s the turn of A.R.E. Accessories’ “Gold Standard” Ford F-150.
Based on a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4 SuperCrew with the available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, the Gold Standard from A.R.E. brings together products from somewhere around a dozen different specialty equipment manufacturers. The distinctive gold and black exterior (which looks kind of reminiscent of Walter Röhrl’s old Porsche 924 Carrera GTS rally car) was shod in Axalta custom paint by Lynch Customs. A.R.E.’s own CX Series truck cap is installed over the bed with a 12V TopperEZLift cap-lift system providing convenient access.
The powertrain on A.R.E.’s Gold Standard Ford F-150 concept is mostly stock, save for a Corsa Performance intake and exhaust. The truck rolls on custom 24-inch Fuel wheels with M/T rubber from the same company. It’s kept aloft by a Skyjacker suspension kit.
And then, we get to the real trinkets. This custom Ford F-150 build features rugged-looking side steps and bumpers from N-FAB, along with some ready-for-duty Hamsar LED lighting on the roof and front bumper. Redline Lumtronix lighting illuminates the bed, where SEMA attendees will find televisions and a charging station. This truck’s hood comes from a company called Reflexxion Automotive, while Ford-licensed Bushwacker fender flares and Penda wheel-well liners further enhance its appearance.
A.R.E. Accessories’ custom Ford F-150 Gold Standard will be on display at the 2016 SEMA show from November 1st through the 4th. Stay tuned as we discover still more excellent custom vehicles headed for Las Vegas.
