As we reported earlier today, Australian tuning brand “Tickford” is back after years of absence, kicking-off their rebirth with a comprehensive collection of upgrade packages for the Ford Ranger mid-size pickup.
So what’s next on the agenda? According to Wheels Magazine, the answer is: the Ford Mustang. According to that outlet, upgrade packages for the right-hand-drive pony car ought to arrive before the end of the year, providing buyers in the Land Down Under with at least one alternative to the forthcoming Roush Performance upgrades to be offered directly through Ford Australia.
“The Australian vehicle personalization market has a long and well-credentialed history, but we felt the time was right to provide a fresh take on things and give Blue Oval fans something extra to be passionate about,” says Tickford CEO/Prodrive Racing Team Manager Tim Edwards. “We’re lucky to have class-leading product in Ranger and Mustang to start our personalization program.”
After Australian Ranger and Mustang customers have been served, Tickford is anticipated to tackle the Ranger-based Ford Everest SUV.
“We are direct descendants of Tickford’s last incarnation and think delivering personalisation packages for the iconic Mustang halo car and class-leading Ranger is both in keeping with Tickford’s history, while also a clear nod to the future,” says Edwards.
