While pretty, the current-generation Ford Fusion isn’t exactly as attention-grabbing as some other products in the automaker’s portfolio – products like the F-150, Mustang, and ST- and RS-badged hot hatches which, together, occupy a majority of the headlines.
Given that, you might be forgiven for forgetting that a new, 325-horsepower Ford Fusion Sport was introduced for the 2017 model year. It’s a brand-new model that, like the others listed above, practically begs to be spruced-up and modified for a SEMA Show appearance.
And so it has.
According to Ford, at least two Fusion Sport concept builds will make their way to the SEMA Show from November 1st through the 4th, from Webasto Thermo & Comfort and Legacy Innovations. Both make do with the factory 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and 6-speed SelectShift dual-clutch automatic, but equipment like exhaust kits, intake upgrades, and software programmers on each build bolster output beyond the original figures.
We’ll be covering each Ford Fusion Sport SEMA concept in more detail, but for a quick sneak peek, check out the video above.
