The Ford Fiesta ST is plenty fast right out of the box, but that doesn’t mean owners are necessarily obligated to make do with its stock 197 peak horsepower figure.
Enter Dead Hook Motorsports, which makes the GT290R V-band turbo kit for Ford’s playful Fiesta ST. In this latest video from The Smoking Tire‘s “One Take” series with Matt Farah, Matt drives a privately-owned Fiesta ST with the full Dead Hook kit installed, resulting in about 335 front-wheel horsepower, according to the owner. Of course, the car’s uprated intercooler and E30 fuel with Methanol help to that end.
Beside the upgrades to this Ford Fiesta ST’s powerplant, the car also benefits from Brembo 6-piston calipers, H&R springs, Sparco wheels with Federal 595 RSR tires, and chassis bracing all around. With that sort of equipment installed, it’s no wonder that Matt Farah starts to pine for his old Fiesta ST.
