Skyjacker Suspensions’ Matchbox Police Ford F-350: SEMA 2016

While the vehicle pictured above looks rather toy-like, we have assurances from Ford that it is, in fact, a “fully-functioning police and tactical unit” and “the ideal law enforcement partner.”

Built by Skyjacker Suspensions for the annual SEMA Show currently in-progress in Las Vegas, this Ford F-350 Super Duty “Matchbox Police” truck is built around a stock 2017 F-350 XL SuperCrew with a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel and TorqShift 6-speed automatic. It has a MagnaFlow performance exhaust system for easier exhalation and a four-link, 8.5-inch lift kit from Skyjacker Suspensions, with LeDuc series front coilovers, M95 rear shocks, and a silver dual-steering stabilizer.

Twenty-inch American Force Wheels with custom powder coating and engraving sit at each of the four corners, surrounded by massive, 40-inch Nitto knobby tires. In short, it’s the perfect vehicle for chasing baddies through a rock-crawling course.

Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about the Matchbox Police Ford F-350’s appearance. The truck is equipped with a 72-inch roof rack and premium front and rear bumpers from Fab Fours, plus a 54-inch LED lightbar and other accessories from Whelen Engineering. Rigid Industries furnished the 30-inch and 50-inch blue back-lit lights and rock lights. A Warn Zeon 12S winch and hook can be found up front, as can a set of custom blue headlamps from HIDprojectors. Bushwhacker fender flares, a Bedslide 1000 bed slide and guard rails, and an A.R.E. Accessories Z-series top pretty much round out the changes to this tactical Ford F-350’s exterior.

Inside, two-tone leather Tuscany seats with blue stitching and embroidery from Katzkin make the cockpit a nice place to sit, while a Lund Industries police console with armrest and swiveling laptop mount add some functionality. A Magellan eXplorist TRX7 off-road GPS system ensures that the law-enforcement officer at the wheel never gets lost, and 5.11 tactical breaching tools and tactical equipment can be found within the cabin.

Like Ford says, this is a “fully-functioning police and tactical unit.”
