Ford’s ‘Snowkhana 5’ Released Right On Time For The Holidays: Video

Ford’s playful Snowkhana” series of stop-motion videos has become something of a holiday tradition for us here at Ford Authority. Every year, we hang the lights, brew the hot chocolate, and huddle indoors waiting for a new one to come out.

Ford Europe has delivered right on schedule with Snowkhana 5: Ultimate Festive Blockbuster, and it’s as adorable as ever.

Ford’s Snowkhana videos are, of course, a reference to Ken Block’s popular Gymkhana” viral video series, wherein the World Rallycross driver selects a good, high-performance car to thrash around an urban playground. Only, where each installment of Gymkhana has heretofore been live-action, Snowkhana is filmed using stop-motion animation and scaled-down toys.

You think the Ford Focus RS RX is impressive? Just wait until you hear these specs: 1:72 scale Ford Fiesta; 2 BHP (Bored Hands Power); and a 100 mph (millimeters-per-hour) top speed.

This latest installment in Ford Europe’s Snowkhana holiday series pays homage to a whole range of popular movies, ranging from Star Wars to Frozen; from Ice Age to Back to the Future. To The Chronicles of Narnia. To Anchorman. To Forrest Gump. To Harry Potter. Etc. Etc.

Be sure to watch Ford Europe’s Snowkhana 5: Ultimate Festive Blockbuster above for a good dose of festive cheer. Happy Holidays!
