All half-earnest jokes about “real men driving V8-powered Mustangs” aside, there is a very special, one-of-a-kind 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost for sale right now on auction site eBay, and precious few car fans would fault you for buying it.
It’s called the Ford Mustang “Outlaw,” and it’s the handiwork of one Classic Design Concepts from Wixom, Michigan. It went on display at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, wearing more than $10,000 in custom upgrades.
This Mustang EcoBoost boasts 20-inch “Outlaw” wheels with reflective red inserts, spoilers on the chin, roof, and decklid, special rocker panels and custom door sill plates, a switchback LED grille, sequential turn signal mirrors, a graphics package, and more. Just 33,556 miles are shown on the odometer.
Sadly, the turbocharged, 2.3-liter four-pot living under the hood has been left untouched, making the same 310 horsepower as stock. More disappointing still is that this 2015 Mustang EcoBoost was ordered with an automatic transmission. But such details don’t detract from the fact that the Ford Mustang “Outlaw” is a sharp, attention-grabbing fastback pony car with thousands of dollars’ worth of nifty upgrades. As of this writing, it has a high bid of $19,000, with the reserve not yet met.
And hey, if at any time you find yourself underwhelmed by the power on tap, remember that Ford Performance now offers an effective software tuning solution that won’t break the bank.
