Florida Event Unifies Ford Mustang Pony Car And P-51 Mustang Fighter Plane

If you consider yourself a Mustang fan, and you haven’t got any concrete plans for Saturday, the 25th of February, you might consider heading down to Florida for one of the most unique car/plane shows we’ve ever heard of.

It’s called the “Mustangs & Mustangs: Legends Havin’ Fun” show, although we wouldn’t fault you for privately referring to it in a bit less cheesy of a way. This year is the 20th annual edition of the show, which brings both the Ford Mustang pony car and the P-51 Mustang fighter plane to the Lakeland Linder Airport for a day of appreciation. The event is organized by the Imperial Mustang Club of Polk County.

In many states, wandering the runways of an airport in February is a recipe for pneumonia, but remember that this is Florida; the temperature in Lakeland is currently a nice 79 degrees Fahrenheit. For more info about the show, check out the official event listing on Facebook.
