A Quick Update On Matt Farah’s Personal Ford Focus RS: Video

For those not in the know, Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire announced last summer that he’d bought himself a 2016 Ford Focus RS to replace his trusty old Fiesta ST.

Apparently, for the man who’s driven absolutely everything, there’s only one acceptable choice: a high-powered hatchback with a Blue Oval on the nose.

Now, after about 5,000 miles of driving and some carefully-selected modifications from Mountune, it’s time for an update on Mr. Farah’s Focus RS. Something to bear in mind: as Farah explains in the video above, the Cobb Accessport used for OBD-tuning still doesn’t support temperature-compensating tunes on the Focus RS. Instead, this car was loaded with a “summer tune” during the warmer months, and is currently running a “winter tune” while we wait for spring to arrive.

On the summer tune, Matt Farah’s Ford Focus RS was measured at 360 wheel-horsepower and 440 lb-ft of wheel torque. The winter tune can’t quite match those figures.

At any rate, for Matt Farah’s 5,000-mile update on the 2016 Ford Focus RS, watch the video above.
