Team Penske Ford driver Joey Logano was fighting for third in Sunday’s Kobalt 400 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway when he lost control of the No. 22 Ford Fusion and took out Kyle Busch. It wasn’t the first time Joey’s late-race aggression irked his competitors, but Busch was determined to make it the last by confronting the driver in the pit lane post-race.
Busch didn’t use his words to communicate his anger with Joey. Oh no – Busch came swinging at Logano in typical NASCAR fashion and engaged in fisticuffs with the Ford driver. The scrap quickly went to the ground, but the yellow jumpsuits from both the Logano and Busch camps promptly broke it up (along with a few particularly muscular NASCAR officials).
NASCAR reporter Jeff Gluck filmed the altercation and we’ve embedded the video above, so be sure to check it out. We’ve also included a post-race interview with a somewhat bloodied Kyle Busch below, so if you’re curious about the aftermath of this coming together, feel free to give that a watch as well. The drama will continue this Sunday when the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series heads to Phoenix Motor Speedway.
