Spy photographers recently caught a Ford Transit Custom – Ford Europe’s mid-size van in the Transit lineup – with some light camouflage on the front end, reports Motor1. You can see the photos, taken as the lightly-covered van conducted some cold-weather testing in Scandinavia, on the Motor1 website.
More than likely, this means that the Ford Transit Custom is headed for a mild, mostly-cosmetic revision in the near future. The Ford Transit’s current, fourth generation was launched in mid-2013, meaning it’s approaching the 4-year mark. Changes on the Custom model could make their way to other versions of the Ford Transit, both in Europe and abroad.
Motor1 speculates, based on the camouflage adorning the recently-spied Ford Transit Custom, that LED daytime running lights could be added to the existing halogen and xenon headlight options. The grille, and possibly the front fascia, may also go under the scalpel. SYNC 3 infotainment seems a likely addition, as well.
Expect the revised, 2018 Ford Transit Custom to go on sale in Europe later this year, and in the meantime, be sure to check Motor1 for the recent spy shots.
