The ‘World’s Most Powerful’ S550 Mustang Makes 2,006 RWHP: Video

Recently, Hellion Power Systems – makers of high-performance turbocharger systems for select Ford, GM, and Mopar vehicles – put out a video that shows dynamometer testing of what they claim is the world’s most powerful S550 Ford Mustang: the Street Outlaw Hellion Mustang.

We can’t verify their claim, but we do know we’ve never seen another S550 Mustang put 2,006 horsepower down to the rear wheels before.

The Hellion Mustang competes in the Street Outlaw NMRA class, with Hellion owner and longtime contender John Urist at the wheel. Naturally, the car is abetted by a Hellion turbo system, which features a single Precision turbo, feeding an engine comprised of a Modular Motorsports Racing Gen X billet Coyote block and a pair of Shelby GT350 heads. Power is sent to the wheels through a Neal Racing Powerglide and a 9-inch rear.

To watch this 2,006-rwhp Ford Mustang in action on the dyno, be sure to check out the video above.
