The all-new, 2017 Lincoln Continental sedan has been named to WardsAuto‘s annual list of the “10 Best Interiors” available, marking Lincoln’s first appearance on the list in the seven years it’s been compiled.
The Lincoln Continental that WardsAuto was given to evaluate was a top-spec Black Label model with 30-way-adjustable “Perfect Position” seats and a 19-speaker Revel Ultima audio system, so it represents rather the best of what the luxury sedan’s interior can be. Wards praised its “soft ambient lighting… reconfigurable gauges, supple Alpine Venetian leather seats and [its] cavernous second row.” The publication also commented on the overall fit and finish, lauding the attention to detail in the new Lincoln Continental.
Also making the list this year was one of the Lincoln Continental’s chief American rivals: the Buick LaCrosse. No Cadillac models were named.
The 2017 Lincoln Continental went on sale late last year, reviving a nameplate that had been discontinued from 2002. The new model is built on a transverse (front-wheel- or all-wheel-drive) platform for the first time, and offers a range-topping twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower.
