March 2017 sales of FoMoCo’s Ford brand totaled 226,696 units in the United States, a decrease of 7.5 percent compared to March 2016.
Sales on an individual model basis were as follows:
- Ford C-Max sales decreased 21.68 percent to 1,333 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 18 percent to 4,769 units
- Ford Edge sales decreased 16.24 percent to 11,730 units
- Ford Escape sales decreased 1.43 percent to 28,113 units; retail sales increased 13 percent for the Escape’s best March sales
- Gains came from the West (up 7 percent), Southeast (up 16 percent) and the Great Lakes region (up 26 percent)
- Ford Expedition sales increased 42.72 percent to 5,472 units; the all-new 2018 Expedition goes on sale this fall
- Ford Explorer sales decreased 6.36 percent to 20,232 units
- Ford F-Series sales increased 10.08 percent to 81,330 units, its best March sales performance in more than a decade thanks to the new Super Duty and F-150 Raptor
- F-Series Average Transaction Prices increased more than $2,500
- Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum represented 56 percent of 2017 Super Duty retail sales; a rich mix drove transaction prices to the highest in the segment
- Ford Fiesta sales increased 20.64 percent to 5,488 units
- Ford Flex sales decreased 14.48 percent to 1,796 units
- Ford Focus sales decreased 22.46 percent to 14,437 units
- Ford Fusion sales decreased 36.79 percent to 18,759 units
- Ford GT sales totaled 2 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 17.73 percent to 1,355 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 27.41 percent to 9,120 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Sedan sales decreased 33.59 percent to 611 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility sales increased 13.72 percent to 3,192 units
- Ford Taurus sales decreased 5.44 percent to 4,030 units
- Ford Transit sales decreased 18.31 percent to 12,167 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 23.74 percent to 2,760 units
In the first three months of 2017, Ford deliveries decreased 4.91 percent to 590,219 U.S. units.
