You can’t make an omelet without cracking a few eggs, any more than you can have an open off-road vehicle (ORV) recreation area without busting up a few trucks.
Say, speaking of, The Drive shared a YouTube video just earlier today showing what can happen when some combination of unsuitable equipment, driver error, and plain ole bad luck turns a fun day at the ORV park into a nail-biting exercise in coaxing a vehicle down a steep slope. The star is a white, 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel, and by the time the clip starts, the driver has already managed to get it stuck in some slick mud at the top of a hill.
“Well, things can only get better from there,” you might hope. Nope; no such luck. An attempt is made to tow the misfortunate Ford Super Duty out of its predicament, but gravity and a steering wheel cocked toward the drivers side contribute to make things far worse. The stuck driver and his many spotters decide they’re going to have to cut the truck loose and bring it gently down the hillside, but all sorts of terribleness befalls the vulnerable F-250 Super Duty along the way.
We don’t want to spoil the surprise. Just watch.
