Cobb Tuning has released new, updated versions of its tuning software for the Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST hot hatchbacks.
The updates include revised ECU maps (v501), which feature “minor feature improvements and bug fixes,” as well as an update for Cobb’s Accesstuner software which simplifies certain features and addresses some bugs, said Cobb Tuning in a release.
The Specifics
Cobb’s new v501 maps enable “fast flash” capability, which allows users to more quickly change between maps of the same generation on Focus ST and Fiesta ST. It also adds “Actual End-Of-Injection” (EOI) monitoring, and solves a bug on Fiesta ST that might cause the “P061A” code to appear.
As for Accesstuner 1.9.1.0-14467, configuration for the Launch Control, Flat Foot Shifting, and the Driving Limiter features has been simplified, with 5-way hard/soft limiters now auto-enabled where supported. Read-only vehicles have been restored to full functionality, and a bug from previous software versions that prevented 2D and 3D tables from initializing from certain map slots has been remedied.
