In case you haven’t thought about it for some time, the world’s most storied endurance race – the 24 Hours of Le Mans – is coming up quick; it’s scheduled to take place from Saturday, June 17th to Sunday, June 18th.
And just like last year, Ford’s performance division will stream the entire event live, providing fans real-time access to camera feeds from each of its four Ford GT race cars plus its trackside garage.
The Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team has a decent shot at reliving last year’s victory in the GTE-Pro class, having taken first at the 6 Hours of Silverstone season opener, and third at the 6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps. Still, as we reported last month, the team was hit with some harsh BoP (Balance of Performance) adjustments ahead of pre-race testing: 20 kg in ballast weight, and a reduced peak turbo pressure allowance.
Be sure to tune in to FordPerformance.tv next Saturday and Sunday to see how the 2017 Ford GT LM GTE fares against the likes of Ferrari, Porsche, and Corvette in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans.
