Fox Talks To Vaughn Gittin Jr. About The Ford Mustang RTR

In the world of Mustang, RTR – or “Ready To Rock” – is professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s performance-oriented brand, which builds and sells modified Ford Mustang models developed with the input of the Formula Drift legend himself. Fox News recently caught up with Gittin to talk about his unique brand, the wares of which are available directly from certain Ford dealers throughout the country.

While the road-going Ford Mustang RTR is inspired in large part by Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s personal Formula D-spec pony car, naturally, it’s not quite as bespoke; there’s no 1,000-horsepower Roush Yates racing motor or tube-frame chassis to be had by the average buyer. Still, you can have up to 670 horsepower on a Mustang GT-based car, lowering springs, an adjustable suspension, and a suite of aesthetic and aerodynamic upgrades.

Asked by Fox News‘ Gary Gastelu whether he thinks he’ll be in ten years’ time, Vaughn Gittin Jr. said: “Ten years from now, I’d like to think I’d slow down with the traveling all over the world and the racing, and RTR will still be around and still be a focus of mine.”
