Jay Leno Takes Delivery Of His Brand-New Ford GT

Former Tonight Show host and recognized automotive nut Jay Leno is exactly the sort of person an automaker would love to sell its latest and greatest halo car to: famous, active on social media, and a true, diehard enthusiast of all things with four wheels and a motor.

It should surprise no one, then, to learn that Leno was one of the 500 lucky souls that Ford handpicked to permit to purchase its all-new Ford GT supercar. That much was confirmed last month, when the comedian shared photos on the Jay Leno’s Garage Instagram from the moments after he first took delivery of his fine example, ordered in Shadow Black with Race Red stripes.

Jay Leno, whose expansive, mind-blowing car collection already includes a Mk I Ford GT from 2005, will undoubtedly serve as a perfect brand ambassador for the Blue Oval. For one thing, we’d say the chances of his new, black-and-red Ford GT not being featured in an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage are somewhere around 0%, and he’s already welcomed Ford Chief Technical Officer Raj Nair onto the show in a prior episode to help show off a pre-production example of the 2017 GT.

We look forward to seeing plenty more of this car real soon.
