Ford and Lincoln dealers in the United States delivered 227,929 new vehicles in June 2017, a 5.1 percent decrease compared to June 2016. Ford brand sales decreased 5.4 percent to 218,704 units while Lincoln sales increased 5.3 percent to 9,275 units.
According to vice president of U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service Mark LaNeve, the “F-Series continues expanding its sales and share this year, with customers opting for high-series pickups and investing in
class-exclusive features that only Ford trucks offer.”

Sales types:
- Cumulative Ford Motor Company sales, which consist of Ford and Lincoln sales, decreased 5.1 percent to 227,929 units:
- Retail sales were flat at 152,396 vehicles
- Fleet sales, including daily rental, commercial and government segments, decreased 13.9 percent to 75,583 units
- Daily rental deliveries accounted for 13.2 percent of total sales, down 2.4 percentage points
- Commercial deliveries accounted for 12.7 percent of total sales, down 0.6 percentage points
- Government deliveries accounted for 7.3 percent of total sales, down 0.5 percentage points
- Truck sales increased 1.2 percent to 97,536 units
- SUV sales increased 3.2 percent to 77,712 units
- Car sales decreased 23 percent to 52,731 units
Average Transaction Prices (ATPs):
- Ford Motor Company ATPs increased $1,800, significantly outpacing an overall industry increase of $520
Inventory:
- Gross-stock June month-end inventory, which includes in-transit and dealer stock, was 696,278 units for a 79-day supply, representing:
- An increase of 5,013 units from the 691,265 units at the end of May 2017
A decrease of 7 days from the 72 days supply at the end of May 2017
- An increase of 5,013 units from the 691,265 units at the end of May 2017
- On-the-ground June month-end inventory was 579,851 units for a 66-day supply, representing:
- An increase of 6,302 units from the 573,549 units at the end of May 2017
- An increase of 7 days from the 59 days supply at the end of May 2017
Ford sales decreased 5.4 percent to 218,704 units:
- Ford C-Max sales decreased 10.11 percent to 1,902 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 5.37 percent to 4,951 units
- Ford Edge sales increased 19.99 percent to 13,411 units
- Ford Escape sales decreased 6.39 percent to 27,151 units
- Ford Expedition sales decreased 36.05 percent to 4,801 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 22.75 percent to 21,304 units, with one-third of retail sales coming from high series (Limited, Platinum, Sport)
- Ford F-Series sales increased 9.81 percent to 77,895 units; strong demand for high-series trucks and Raptor drove F-Series transaction pricing to a $3,100 gain for the month – more than twice the segment average
- Ford Fiesta sales decreased 0.94 percent to 4,026 units
- Ford Flex sales increased 26.28 percent to 2,018 units
- Ford Focus sales decreased 20.09 percent to 15,575 units
- Ford Fusion sales decreased 31.6 percent to 18,139 units
- Ford GT sales totaled 9 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 19.74 percent to 813 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 36.72 percent to 6,186 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Sedan sales decreased 11.04 percent to 733 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility sales decreased 0.63 percent to 2,981 units
- Ford Taurus sales increased 16.63 percent to 2,932 units
- Ford Transit sales decreased 25.01 percent to 10,826 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 35.56 percent to 3,051 units
Lincoln sales increased 5.3 percent to 9,275 units, its 17th straight month of year-over-year sales gains:
- Lincoln Continental sales totaled 973 units
- Lincoln MKC sales increased 15.84 percent to 2,304 units
- Lincoln MKS sales decreased 96.13 percent to 16 units
- Lincoln MKT sales increased 10.81 percent to 287 units
- Lincoln MKX sales increased 0.36 percent to 2,475 units
- Lincoln MKZ sales decreased 18.84 percent to 2,240 units
- Lincoln Navigator sales increased 6.29 percent to 980 units
In the first six months of 2017, Ford Motor Company sales decreased 3.8 percent to 1,301,102 units.
