The Only ‘Liquid Blue’ Ford Fiesta ST Ever Built Is Up For Grabs

Since the formation of Ford Performance out of so many other Blue Oval divisions (Team RS, SVT, Ford Racing, etc.), the group’s “Liquid Blue” paint hue has been a fixture, helping the automaker introduce such performance cars as the Shelby GT350R, F-150 Raptor, Focus RS, Fiesta ST, and yes, even the Ford GT supercar. Unfortunately, of all those cars, only the GT offers the deep, luscious hue as a factory color.

But if you can’t afford Ford’s $450,000 GT just now, there is an alternative; Ford’s Liquid Blue Fiesta ST show car from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit is up for auction right now on website Bring A Trailer. The car somehow passed into private ownership, and was spotted and acquired from a dealer some months ago by an eagle-eyed Ford Performance fan. In addition to the stunning Liquid Blue paint, this show car is further distinguished from regular production examples by its white-and-black leather Recaro seats and white contrast stitching.

The high bid for this singular Ford Fiesta ST currently stands at $17,750, and if you’re interested, you’d better act now; just over five hours remain at the time of this writing. It’s no Ford GT, but it’s the only chance mere mortals like you and I will probably ever have to get our mitts on an original Liquid Blue Ford Performance machine.
