July 2017 sales of FoMoCo’s Ford brand totaled 191,337 units in the United States, a decrease of 7.7 percent compared to July 2016.
Sales on an individual model basis were as follows:
- Ford C-Max sales decreased 1.5 percent to 1,839 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 17.33 percent to 3,316 units
- Ford Edge sales increased 6.13 percent to 11,156 units, a new July record
- Ford Escape sales increased 5.54 percent to 27,716 units; retail sales increased 4.3 percent and approximately 30 percent of retail sales were high-series Titanium models
- Ford Expedition sales decreased 39.34 percent to 3,617 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 12.93 percent to 18,763 units; retail sales were up 20.4 percent, gaining in every region of the country, including:
- 21 percent increase in the Northeast
- 20 percent increase in the Southeast
- 28 percent increase in the Great Lakes
- 21 percent increase in Central region
- 18 percent increase in the West
- What’s more, 33 percent of Explorer retail sales came from high-series Limited, Sport and Platinum models
- Ford F-Series sales increased 5.8 percent to 69,467 units
- Customers heavily favored high-series Super Duty pickups in July, representing 53 percent of the mix, driving average transaction prices for Super Duty to just over $55,000 per truck, a $4,600 increase versus year-ago levels
- Ford Fiesta sales decreased 12.46 percent to 3,582 units
- Ford Flex sales decreased 13.34 percent to 1,540 units
- Ford Focus sales increased 18.12 percent to 16,505 units
- Ford Fusion sales decreased 42.16 percent to 13,886 units
- Ford GT sales totaled 8 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 26.18 percent to 894 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 35.12 percent to 6,206 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Sedan sales decreased 23.36 percent to 643 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility sales increased 7.33 percent to 2,766 units
- Ford Taurus sales decreased 0.27 percent to 2,224 units
- Ford Transit sales decreased 67.27 percent to 3,710 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 28.45 percent to 3,499 units
- Sales of Ford brand CUVs and SUVs totaled 65,558 units, an increase of 2.9 percent; the vehicles set a new sales record of 472,022 units in the first seven months of 2017, positioning the lineup well for the upcoming launches of the all-new Expedition and EcoSport
In the first seven months of 2017, U.S. Ford brand deliveries decreased 4.71 percent to 1,436,102 units.
