Imagine you find yourself in this pickle: a colleague has gone and gotten himself pulled into a cage full of angry velociraptors at work. Seeing as it’s feeding time, the raptors are all too eager to move in and consume your coworker. Do you A) subdue the raptors with non-fatal weapons, destroying what little trust they have in you, or B) enter the cage yourself to keep the raptors at bay while your colleague crawls to safety?
Hennessey Performance immersed its fans in that exact situation in a recent mini film, borrowing the scene straight from Jurassic World (2015) with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Instead of intelligent dinosaurs, however, the velociraptors in Hennessey’s mini film were played by three examples of the Hennessey VelociRaptor F-150 – a more potent, upgraded take on Ford’s F-150 Raptor super-truck.
For 2017, the Hennessey VelociRaptor F-150 is available in two power levels: 500 bhp/522 lb-ft, and 600 bhp/622 lb-ft. An “Off-Road Stage 1 Package” can be optioned with either truck, incorporating upgrades like 20-inch Hennessey wheels on Toyo off-road tires, bespoke front and rear bumpers, LED off-road lights, and 3 inches of suspension lift. There’s also the VelociRaptor 6×6, which throws a third driven axle into the mix for even more off-road finesse.
