Ford Mustang Sales Decrease 33.3 Percent To 5,535 Units In August 2017

In the United States, Ford Mustang deliveries totaled 5,535 units in August 2017, a decrease of about 33 percent compared to 8,299 units sold in August 2016. The results represent the model's lowest August sales performance since 2013.

In the first eight months of the year, Mustang sales decreased about 30 percent to 56,349 units.

By comparison, Dodge Challenger sales increased 18.83 percent to 6,253 units for its best August sales performance ever, while Chevrolet Camaro sales decreased 10 percent to 5,017 units. As such, the Mustang was in second place in the pony car sales race in August, behind the Challenger in first yet ahead of the Camaro in third.
