Aftermarket accessories manufacturer A.R.E. Accessories is returning to the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas with a brand-new custom build this year, nicknamed the “Modern Adventurer”. Based on the refreshed, 2018 Ford F-150 pickup, the custom SEMA truck shows off the company’s all-new Z Revo bed cap in tremendous fashion.
This Ford F-150 4×4 XLT SuperCrew is propelled by Ford’s factory 2.7L EcoBoost V6, although that mill is aided in this application by a Corsa air intake and a Ford Performance cat-back exhaust. Performance is further bolstered by a Skyjacker suspension with Fox dampers, Air Lift LoadLifter kit, and sway bars and ProSeries stabilizers from Hellwig. The stylish wheels are Fuel Stroke units, wrapped in Fuel Gripper M/T rubber.
But much more dramatic are the alterations made to this 2018 Ford F-150’s appearance. The exterior is made distinct by the aforementioned A.R.E. Z Revo cap, an A.R.E. Ascend roof basket, Lund fender flares pulled from the Ford Licensed Accessories book, a Duraflex hood, and N-Fab steps and bumpers. A.R.E. Rival LED lighting and window tinting from Tint Works lend the truck a still greater sense of specialness, while the comely Axalta exterior paint by Lynch Concepts caps things off.
In true ready-to-adventure fashion, this Ford F-150 also rocks a James Baroud roof-top tent, K2 cooler, and TruckVault storage drawer system, and the cargo space features a protective, Ford Licensed Accessories bedliner by BedRug bedliner. Reliable juice comes from Reikken performance battery cells.
Things are a bit less drastic inside the cabin, where Kicker audio from the Ford Licensed Accessories catalog and a SEON camera recording system have been installed. Custom interior accents from Trent’s Truck Upholstery, which executed this build, and Alea leather provide an added sense of luxury.
This custom 2018 Ford F-150 SuperCrew will go on display at the Ford booth at the 2017 SEMA Show, opening tomorrow. For more custom Ford SEMA builds, stay tuned.
