Our friends at CJ Pony Parts are rolling into the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in style, bringing this custom-built 2018 Ford F-150 4×4 Lariat SuperCrew. Equipped with Ford’s factory 3.5L EcoBoost V6 and 10-speed automatic transmission, the truck was capable enough right out of the box, but that fact didn’t dissuade the aftermarket parts vendor from upgrading everything from the powertrain right down to the tires.
To help Ford’s 3.5L EcoBoost breathe a bit easier, CJ Pony Parts fitted this 2018 Ford F-150 with an aFe Momentum GT Stage 2 cold-air intake system, featuring a high-flow Pro 5R air filter, and a cat-back exhaust out of the Ford Performance catalog. An SCT custom tune helps the twin-turbocharged V6 take full advantage of those upgrades. The pickup sits on a ReadyLIFT 7-inch lift kit with SST3000 dampers, and called in PA Powder Works to provide a custom, protective powder coating to the suspension components.
The custom-built 2018 Ford F-Series rolls on two-piece forged Fuel Hostage wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires, with PA Powder Works coated beadlock hardware, and Wilwood brakes provide plenty of stopping power. A Ford Performance rear differential cover conceals the rear-end gears.
Aesthetically, CJ Pony Parts’ Ford F-150 is marked by Lund fender flares from the Ford Licensed Accessories catalog, plus a number of components from Addictive Desert Designs, including a Stealth Fighter front bumper, HoneyBadger rear bumper, Rock Slider side steps, and Race Series chase rack with a HoneyBadger tire carrier. A custom T-Rex grille, and distinct custom paint and graphics, further define the pickup’s unique appearance. Illumination is provided by custom Bullseye Retro headlights fitted with Diode Dynamics switchbacks and Demon Eyes, with off-road lighting assistance from an Oracle Lighting Bluetooth ColorSHIFT LED underbody rock light kit.
Inside the cabin, this 2018 Ford F-150 is fitted with a Console Vault vehicle safe from the Ford Licensed Accessories book, Ford Performance door sill plates, and a Ford Performance Raptor steering wheel with an orange sight-line and matching orange stitching. Lending even more pizzazz are custom seat headrests wearing the CJ Pony Parts logo, and custom paint accents.
This bold, custom 2018 Ford F-150 from CJ Pony Parts is ready to go on display at the Ford booth at the 2017 SEMA Show, which opens tomorrow. Stay tuned for more special Ford SEMA builds.
