If you have aspirations to survive Earth’s next mass-extinction in comfort and style, plus access to $1.5 million in disposable cash, you might consider putting down a deposit on the latest vehicle from EarthRoamer – “The Global Leader in Luxury Expedition Vehicles.” The company’s newest addition, dubbed the “XV-HD”, is based on the heavy-duty, 4WD Ford F-750 chassis, powered by Ford’s new 6.7-liter Power Stroke, and packs everything a guy could need for an extended stay off-the-grid.
Designed to accommodate up to six people in comfort, the Ford F-750-based EarthRoamer XV-HD represents the company’s “most innovative product yet,” according to President and COO Tyler Tatro. “It utilizes state-of-the-art construction and systems to bring comfort and functionality to the next level,” he says.
Hand-built by Colorado craftsmen somewhere at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, the new model from EarthRoamer boasts supreme off-roadability with things like 46-inch Michelin XZL tires, a rear air suspension with Fox shocks, hydraulic leveling, 30,000-pound hydraulic front winch from Warn Industries, and LED lighting from Baja Designs.
Need electricity? The XV-HD features 2,100 watts of solar capacity, a PTO-driven hydraulic generator, and a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery bank. Water? The new EarthRoamer has you covered with 250 gallons of fresh water storage, and 125 gallons for black water. And with a 115-gallon diesel tank, you don’t have to worry about running out of fuel anytime soon.
As for luxury, the Ford F-750-based XV-HD has it in spades, with a full bathroom with separate shower, washer/dryer, full kitchen, premium appliances, in-floor radiant heating, Bose Surround Sound entertainment, and opulent appointments with hand-crafted finishes throughout. The cabin even features Ford’s lavish King Ranch trim.
The all-new EarthRoamer XV-HD is on display now at the 2017 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for plenty more fresh reveals from the SEMA Show floor.
