FoMoCo’s Ford brand reported 191,527 new vehicle deliveries in October 2017 in the United States, an increase of 6.56 percent compared to October 2016.
Sales on an individual model basis were as follows:
- Ford C-Max sales increased 71.41 percent to 1,661 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 7.12 percent to 4,265 units
- Ford Edge sales increased 36.86 percent to 11,036 units, representing the model’s best October sales performance since its first year on the market in 2007
- Ford Escape sales decreased 1.88 percent to 23,064 units
- Ford Expedition sales decreased 46.72 percent to 2,074 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 5.02 percent to 16,914 units; retail sales increased 13.1 percent
- The strongest retail growth came from the Central and Southeastern regions, which saw retail sales grow 31.1 and 34.0 percent, respectively
- Ford F-Series sales increased 15.92 percent to 75,974 units, its best October sales performance since 2004
- Continued strong customer demand for high series Super Duty increased its Average Transaction Price (ATP) to $55,200, a $1,600 gain year-over-year
- Ford Fiesta sales increased 1.09 percent to 3,418 units
- Ford Flex sales increased 91.56 percent to 2,042 units
- Ford Focus sales increased 7.76 percent to 10,095 units; Focus performance models including the Focus ST and RS, increased 42.3 percent
- Ford Fusion sales decreased 6.15 percent to 17,536 units
- Ford GT sales totaled 15 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 34.17 percent to 738 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 3.29 percent to 5,236 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Sedan sales decreased 26.26 percent to 584 units
- Ford Police Interceptor Utility sales increased 0.64 percent to 2,507 units
- Ford Taurus sales decreased 8.31 percent to 2,097 units
- Ford Transit sales increased 0.86 percent to 10,290 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 12.54 percent to 1,981 units
What’s more, sales of Ford brand SUVs increased 4.6 percent to 57,637 vehicles during the month, including a 9 percent increase at retail.
In the first ten months of 2017, U.S. Ford brand deliveries decreased 2.18 percent to 2,042,264 units.
